License: A major factor will be can you drive and do you have a license? In Thailand a driver needs to be over the age of 18 and hold a valid drivers license. While many agents will rent cars out after only viewing a license from a different country, the police can and will fine you for driving with out the correct license. A tourist will need to obtain an International Drivers License prior to going overseas.

Car Or Bike: A big choice will be if you need a car or bike. This could depend on who you are with or what you intend to do.
